    Gerald,
    I was seriously debating which of the two words to use. I chose apprehension because it seemed less negative. For me, this is about passing to the afterlife, and I’m working on trying not to be terrified of that.

    apprehension is defintely the better word in the ku

    trepidation is the reader reaction — try not to get too hung up on the metaphor but keep it understated.
