I love this ‘ku! It is amazing that they can create such architectural wonders. JP

  2. Crafty Green Poet Says:

I love the architecture made by bees and ants. Quite amazing. I like the way you compare those structures to a house of cards!

  3. Sandy Says:

I’ll bet some of our great architects have done some studying of the natural world. Great haiku.

  4. mandy Says:

a very nice set of haiku

  5. warillever Says:

You brought architecture back to the natural world.

    Beautifully done.

  6. Tammy Says:

You really were very creative with the theme. I enjoyed reading all of them.

  7. Regina Clare Jane Says:

These were all lovely! I always think about ants and their complex communities! And I loved the tower of cards- never even thought of that as something architectural- but it certainly is!

I’m hosting the Ringing of the Bards poetry blog carnival, June 16. If you’d like to be included, leave a comment here or email me at tielansari @ gmail dot com any time through June 15.

Any style is welcome, but I’m particularly showcasing formal poetry poetry this time around.

Don’t forget to come back and see the carnival!

Loved that last one. It reminds me of the photo I used for mine which in fact did fall down…’though it took more than a little breath to do it. The ants and the bees both are indeed so intricately architecturally structured and beautiful. Nice take on the theme.

Crafty—I didn’t mean to make any link between the three since they each came to me individually, but now that you point that out, I must admit that it is a pretty cool statement about the fragility of nature.

  11. Becca Says:

Beautiful homage to the natural world’s architecture! I especially love the bee’s hive “brimming with sweetness.”

  12. Patois Says:

I so liked the ant poem. Something about “hundred-mile labyrinth” takes my breath away. I enjoyed them all, but the ant one sticks with me.

  13. Megan Says:

These are so good. I’ve read them over and over and they just fit together so well. Really nice. Thank you.
