Earth Day Haiku

April 23rd, 2007 by dani

earth
air
fire
and water
if love is the fifth
just maybe we still have a chance

***

tears fall from the sky
to grow crops and quench our thirst
a pure flowing gift

***

degree by degree
climate change? so what? why change?
no one’s left to say

Good ideas, and that first one, may be right!

I *love* the first fib. :)

    Just maybe, Dani…

  4. Patricia (a/k/a Roswila) Says:

Yes, your first says it. May we have a chance…

These all are thought-inspiring. I like the first very much. Thank you for all three.

  6. Patois Says:

All of them are marvelous. I, too, like the first best. Calls to mind in me John Lennon.

  7. Crafty Green Poet Says:

Thought provoking selection, hopefully your first is true.

  8. Tammy Says:

    Powerful and moving. Great job!

  9. Sian Says:

I liked all three, but the last one is beautifully melancholy, just right. Thankyou

  10. Pearl Says:

Love’s the first element, the underlying prime. :)

  11. MarillaAnne Says:

I enjoyed them all but the second is my favorite.
