Great Story! My wish . . . .Hmmm . . . I really do need a good night’s sleep tonight -

Your post reminded me that I have a stone (well, it’s more like a good sized rock) with a white ring around it. I found it on a hike years ago and have hung on to it – now I know why! I wonder what I’ll wish with it?

To this day my Grandma saves the wishbones for my sister and we wish away when ever we are in town for a visit!

I used to collect rocks just like the one in your picture! I think I knew, as a kid, that they were lucky, but I had forgotten until now. Can’t wait to tell my son and go ona rock hunt! Thanks for the wish! Keeping mine quiet (superstitous, you know)!

That makes me think of an Indonesian friend of mine who beleives that when you move from one place to another, you should take samples of the earth from North, South, East and West to sprinkle in your new garden, bringing the good things from your past life with you. She also has special tricks for warding off rainstorms…
